How the Mighty Have Fallen

In memory of my business partner Tony Villaruel

Where is that oak that towered over thee?
Lying on the ground, it’s spirit now free
Where is that highest of mountain peaks?
Flowed in avalanche to the home it seeks
So soon away, so little life spent
So soon beyond earth his soul went
How easy does death bring himself upon
One day a stallion, another day a man done
With truly no defenses are we left waiting
To ride the barge on the River Styx floating
