Gomer

I told her to open her eyes, I wanted to look into her soul. She wanted to be loved for her eyes and kept blinking. I told her to lay down her life, that she had so much to offer. She wanted to be honoured, praised, lifted. I offered her my life, my everything. She wanted the assurance of the world. I kissed her forehead. She kissed another. I made a promise. She didn’t bother. I walked away. No wonder. No words. Regret.
