I like to use Peter Drucker’s 5 Most Important Questions list, and it’s something we go back to as a team every week! Our best decisions are made when there’s team clarity over these 5 questions. I remember one example at the height of COVID-19 fear, when we decided to support clients by finding ways to aid their cashflow. It was very difficult. But we exist for a mission, and that mission means providing specific value to specific customers, so we find ways. All the rules, policies, best practices, compliance, and traditions must support the mission and bring great value to customers not the other way around. Focus on the fundamentals.
